I really love getting into the different seasons and holidays. While I may get really, incredibly into Christmas (cause who doesn’t), I also love the small touches of fall we spread throughout the house starting mid-September in an attempt to really get into the changing seasons, even if it’s forced because it’s hot as balls outside. We don’t have as much fall decor as we do Christmas, but we like to use subtle touches like decorative pumpkins (that when turned around actually have a Jack-O-Lantern face to use during Halloween). Here’s a look at some things we use to pumpkin spice our house, as well as some other ideas that could work to warm up any home.
We love getting our decorations from places like Home Goods and Michaels. Seriously, Michaels has some of the absolute best sales and deals when it comes to home decor. I’m talking 50/60% off. You can’t pass that up!
The natural tones of these pillows are the perfect accent, especially on the darker grey of our couch.
As with any other time of year, flowers will always bring a bit more life and comfort to any home, especially in warmer colors like deep reds, yellows, and oranges.
Fun fact, these foam pumpkins have traveled from DC to CA with us. One of them managed to…walk off…one night, but miraculously found it’s way home the next day.
The possiblilities are literally endless when it comes to seasonal and holiday decor. I love the tones of fall. You can really add a lot of warmth to your home whether it’s actually cold outside, or you just jack the AC up and bundle to pretend it’s cold outside.
