The kitchen in this house is what sold it for me. I actually looked at our amazing realtor, Amy Koch, while standing in the kitchen and told her I wanted it…totally hadn’t even looked at the rest of the house. As you know I love to cook so having the perfect kitchen is a thing for me. There is so much storage space. Like…so much in fact that I just recently discovered we still had one completely empty drawer, months after we moved in.
The previous owner did an amazing job renovating the house a few years before we bought it. We lucked out with the kitchen for sure. The cabinets are a discontinued design from IKEA, but I do know that Martha Stewart has a line of cabinets at Lowes that are almost identical. The countertops are a soft grey quartz. Awesome when it comes time to clean up, stains are not an issue. But the best part…they have a little sparkle in them. Not enough to emasculate the hubs when he takes over in the kitchen, but enough to make me giddy. My absolute favorite thing about the kitchen is the glass front cabinet doors on the sink side. We have some amazing wedding china that we’ve kept in a bin since we got married because we’ve had no where to display it. When you are born and raised in the South, wedding china is unavoidable. We picked this amazing Vera Wang pattern and can now look at it every day. As a bonus, now that we can see it daily, we are more inclined to use it. Win, Win…Win (leave me a comment down below if you got that reference).

There will always be little things here and there that we will want to do with the kitchen. And maybe they might actually get done. But we are absolutely in love with everything about this kitchen. It was made for us…and my cooking.
