This month’s favorites might feel all over the place but it makes sense in my head.
Hubs made a comment about this perfume saying that it smells like summer which is perfect because…summer here we come. It’s very floral and makes me feel all grown up, which is appropriate for a woman who will be 33 next week.
I have a growing blush collection that I’m trying to utilize more. This particular beauty from Benefit is the perfect pinky/peachy shade. With my skin tone I have a hard time finding something subtle enough to avoid the baby-doll look, but with enough pigment to actually show up. As a bonus this one has a subtle sweet floral smell to it.
Coffee is a favorite for pretty much everyone. I’ve been an addict for quite some time. The hubs and I have perfected our cold brew coffee. We make it on Sunday nights and it lasts us all week. I posted a pic on Instagram this week of the wonder that is my morning iced coffee.
When we moved into our house we decided to forgo a TV in the bedroom. It’s done wonders for our sleep. And instead of watching an episode of something before bed, we spend that time reading. My favorite book of all times is Pride & Prejudice. When I heard about Eligible, a modern-day telling of P&P, I had to give it a whirl. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical, but I could not love this book more. It’s so damn funny. If you’ve never read the Austen classic, think about this one as a gateway into the Austen world.
I have loved Sara Bareilles’ music since her very first album came out. The movie Waitress starring Keri Russell came out years ago but I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. When Sara Bareilles announced her musical version of the movie I quite frankly freaked out. This album features some songs from the Broadway Musical and I have been listening to it non-stop. Listening to it right now as I type. A musical written by Sara Bareilles about pie…what could be better?
