Hi, my name is Shannon and I’m a planner. I admit, if I could plan my life down to the minute, I would, much to the chagrin of the hubs. I’ve learned to be a bit more laid back, but luckily, some of my more meticulous planning habits do help keep the home and our lives in some sort of order.
I owe my planning prowess to the wonderful world of Erin Condren. Her planners are INTENSE. And I mean that in a good way. A few years back I watched a What’s in my Bag video by Elle Fowler where she mentioned she carried an Erin Condren Life Planner. I thought to myself that I would NEVER be that kind of planner, one who uses multi-colored pens and various stickers to scrapbook my life into a schedule. Cut to last year when I finally broke down and bought one. At first glance they can seem pricey, but given how much use I get out of it, the price was totally worth it. You can use this referral link to set up an account and get $10 off your purchase.
You’ll find there is quite the planning community that reaches far beyong the ECLP world. I won’t even get into it, just do a youtube search on planners. You’ll be inundated with unboxings, reviews, Plan with Me (yup, a real thing that I watch often). So now I add my post to the collection.
For 2016 I chose this obnoxiously pink shade (currently obsessed with obnoxiously pink accessories) with gold details. Browse the site though, there’s TONS of options. The Rose Gold planner sells out ALL THE TIME.
The pages are broken down weekly with three sections per day. Last year’s model had each section labeled “Morning” “Day” and “Night” but thankfully there are stickers to cover that, or the now blank sections, with whatever you decide. Or you can simply write it in yourself.
Here’s what a week looks like for me after I’ve “planned” out my week, meaning stuck a ton of stickers all over it.
This weekly sticker kit comes from one of my favorite Etsy shops, ScribblePrintsCo. I could do an entire post, or several, about planner stickers but I’ll hold off. I let her stickers do the talking. A few other shops I love; Glam Planner (Elle Fowler’s shop), Willowfields, Station Stickers, Libbie & Co., Jolani Jolie Designs, Nicole Alexia Designs, and Planner Kate.
Here’s a weekly kit from Nicole Alexia Designs.
I use each monthly spread to keep track of our bills and any sort of traveling we might do.
And speaking of stickers, the lovely folks at Erin Condren also provide you with some standards, and options to personalize.
Target’s Dollar Spot is also a great place to pick up some Stationary Items for your planner.
Are you all about the planner life too? How do you keep your life in order?
